Marriage is not merely a social institution or a relationship based on mutual attraction

Marriage is not merely a social institution or a relationship based on mutual attraction, it is a divine covenant established by God. According to Scripture, marriage reflects the relationship between Christ and the Church.Just as Christ gave Himself for the Church and works to shape believers into His image, marriage is designed to help spouses grow spiritually and fulfill God's purpose on earth.

God's intention for marriage includes raising godly children, advancing His kingdom, and creating a partnership that strengthens both individuals. A successful marriage should bring growth, improvement, and transformation to each spouse. If a marriage continually diminishes one partner rather than helping them become better, it misses a key aspect of God's design.

Spouses are not only companions and lovers, they are also instruments God uses to refine, challenge, and develop one another. Through encouragement, correction, and accountability, husband and wife help each other mature spiritually and fulfill God's calling. Therefore, marriage should be entered with a clear vision of serving God,building one another up, and advancing His purposes rather than simply meeting societal expectations or personal desires.
